FARMER-TO-FARMER for Agriculture Education and Training (F2F for AET)

Winrock International (WI) implements a USAID-funded Farmer-to-Farmer Program in Guinea called “F2F for AET” (Agriculture, Education and Training). This program is designed to provide American Volunteers’ expertise to support the strengthening of Agriculture Education and Training at formal (Agriculture schools) and informal (NGOs, Private Enterprises, Farmers’ Organizations, Government / Research) Institutions across Guinea.

F2F for AET program Guinea is seeking for an Assistant Country Director with the following responsibilities, among others:

• Plan, organize and submit field activities in accordance with the Country Director;
• Assess stakeholders/benefitting institutions’ needs;  
• Develop Volunteers’ assignment scopes of work (SOW);
• Provide programmatic support to volunteers before, during and after their field work, including accompanying volunteers during their assignments;
• Conduct monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of volunteers’ assignments performance and impact, including collecting and analyzing M&E data;
• Carry out extensive travel outside Conakry;

The assistant country director will report to the country director. During busy times when the country director is traveling, the assistant country director may act in an “acting director” capacity, as requested by the country director.

Minimum qualifications include:

University degree (in an agriculture-related discipline preferred); at least 5 years working in a technical/programmatic role on agriculture-related development projects; and demonstrated experience managing stakeholder/benefitting institutions relationships. Prior experience coordinating or interacting with American volunteers or consultants preferred.
